4Drive Greece operates as a booking platform that connects drivers with rental providers in key locations across mainland Greece and the islands. We focus on practical vehicle options suited to Greek roads, from compact city models to 4x4 trucks for mountain routes. Our system displays real inventory from local companies, each operating under their own rental agreements and terms. Every booking is fulfilled by the supplier named in your voucher, and you sign the rental contract directly with them at the pickup point.
Our team works from Eleftherias Square in Heraklion, managing the booking flow and supplier coordination. We do not own a fleet or operate rental desks ourselves. Instead, we maintain partnerships with providers in each city, allowing us to offer a range of vehicle types and pickup options - airport counters, city offices, and hotel delivery where available.
The booking process follows four steps. First, you search for a vehicle by entering your pickup location, dates, and any specific requirements such as automatic transmission or 4WD capability. The results show available models from our partner companies, along with details on drivetrain type, luggage capacity, and payment conditions for each individual vehicle.
Second, you pay a booking advance online by card to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is settled when you collect the vehicle, using the payment method specified in your confirmation - this varies by vehicle and supplier, and is clearly stated before you complete the booking.
Third, you receive a voucher by email. This document lists your rental dates, pickup instructions, the supplier's contact details, and any included or optional extras such as additional driver coverage, child seats, or ferry tickets for island crossings.
Fourth, you collect the vehicle at the agreed time and location. The rental company representative will complete a vehicle condition report with you, noting any existing scratches or marks. You sign the rental agreement on site, and the company provides their own terms regarding fuel policy, mileage limits, and return procedures.
We arrange bookings in Heraklion, Chania, Rhodes, Corfu, Athens, Thessaloniki, Kos, Hersonissos, Kokkini Hani, and other destinations across Crete and the mainland. Each location connects you with independent local suppliers who manage their own vehicle stock and service standards.
Airport pickups are available at HER, CHQ, RHO, CFU, ATH, SKG, and KGS, typically at in-terminal desks or meet-and-greet points. City centre offices serve travellers already settled in town. Some suppliers offer delivery to hotels or ferry ports, detailed in the booking flow for each vehicle.
Selected vehicles in our inventory are marked as no-deposit options. This means the rental supplier does not block funds on your card as a security hold when you collect the vehicle. You still remain liable for the excess amount stated in your contract if damage or theft occurs - the no-deposit feature simply removes the card authorisation step at the counter.
Not all vehicles qualify. Eligibility depends on the supplier's policies and the specific model. A Suzuki Jimny from one company might require a hold, while a Toyota Yaris from another does not. The booking page confirms whether a deposit applies before you pay the advance.
No deposit does not alter your excess liability or insurance coverage. These are separate elements defined in the rental agreement you sign with the provider. We recommend reviewing the voucher carefully so you understand what protection is included and what costs you might face in the event of an incident.
